Pipeline Testing Services

Pipeline Testing provides NATA-accredited pipeline testing services to plumbing, water and sewerage supply and civil construction industries. We work with a range of clients in South East Queensland, from plumbers to contractors, project managers to engineers, delivering certified testing solutions.

Vacuum Pressure Testing

Immediately detect any leaks or infiltration in your gravity sewer lines. Vacuum pressure testing easily identifies damaged pipe seals and joints.

What we’ll need from you:
  • The drains must be thoroughly cleaned.
  • We’ll need good access to the work area, e.g. next to a manhole.

Hydrostatic Pressure Testing

Check the integrity of your newly installed or repaired water line, valves and hydrants. High-capacity water testing of rising sewer and water mains helps find leaks and identify the strengths and weaknesses of a pipeline.

What we’ll need from you:
  • The pipeline must be full of water and have the air purged from the system.
  • The pipeline must be at either mains pressure (approximately 500–600 kpa) or test pressure ( 1000–1200 kpa).
  • An additional water source will be needed to pressurise the system at the time of testing.
  • The system must be isolated with all fittings, valves, hydrants, caps and plugs restrained.

Ovality Testing

Check for compaction or crushing of pipes with ovality testing.

What we’ll need from you:
  • The drains must be thoroughly cleaned to allow our tools to pass through.

Waterline Chlorination

Ensure your water lines are contamination free. Chlorinating new water mains or repaired pipelines will help ensure the water supplied is safe to use. Any bacterial samples are sent to our NATA-accredited laboratory partner for testing.

What we’ll need from you:
  • An outfall discharge area during the dechlorination process to prevent washout.
  • The system must be isolated with all fittings, valves, hydrants, caps and plugs restrained.

We follow the AS/NZS 2566.2.2002 (Buried Flexible Pipelines) Standard, WSA 01-2004 Polyethylene Pipeline Code Version 3.1, South East Queensland Water Supply and Sewerage Design and Construction Code and AS 3500 (Plumbing and Drainage) Standard.

We provide next day copies of your NATA-accredited test certificate and easy-to-read reports detailing any defects that need addressing.

With quality, efficient testing and results from Pipeline Testing, you can get reliable information when you need it.
